At its 4th plenary meeting, on 7 December 2022, the Economic and Social Council:

(a) Decided that the 2023 regular session of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations would be held from 23 January to 1 February and on 13 February 2023, and its resumed session from 15 to 23 May and on 5 June 2023;

(b) Approved the provisional agenda of the 2023 session of the Committee as set out below:

Election of officers.

Adoption of the agenda and other organizational matters.

Applications for consultative status with the Council and requests for reclassification received from non‑governmental organizations:

Applications for consultative status and requests for reclassification deferred from previous sessions of the Committee;

New applications for consultative status and new requests for reclassification;

Applications of non‑governmental organizations in consultative status that have merged with non‑governmental organizations without such status.

Quadrennial reports submitted by non‑governmental organizations in consultative status with the Council:

Deferred quadrennial reports submitted by non‑governmental organizations in consultative status;

New quadrennial reports submitted by non‑governmental organizations in consultative status.

Strengthening of the Non-Governmental Organizations Branch.
