At its 3rd plenary meeting, on 1 November 2021, the Economic and Social Council:

(a) Decided that the 2022 regular session of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations would be held from 24 January to 2 February and on 14 February 2022, and its resumed session from 17 to 25 May and on 7 June 2022;

(b) Approved the provisional agenda of the 2022 session of the Committee as set out below:

Election of officers.

Adoption of the agenda and other organizational matters.

Applications for consultative status and requests for reclassification received from non-governmental organizations:

Applications for consultative status and requests for reclassification deferred from previous sessions of the Committee;

New applications for consultative status and new requests for reclassification;

Applications of non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council that have merged with non-governmental organizations without such consultative status.

Quadrennial reports submitted by non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council:

Deferred quadrennial reports submitted by non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Council;

Review of quadrennial reports submitted by non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Council.

Strengthening of the Non-Governmental Organizations Branch of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the Secretariat.
