At its 37th plenary meeting, on 23 July 2019, the Economic and Social Council:

(a) Decided that the 2020 regular session of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations would be held from 20 to 29 January and on 7 February 2020, and its resumed session from 18 to 28 May and on 5 June 2020;

(b) Approved the provisional agenda of the 2020 session of the Committee as set out below:

Election of officers.

Adoption of the agenda and other organizational matters.

Applications for consultative status and requests for reclassification received from non-governmental organizations:

Applications for consultative status and requests for reclassification deferred from previous sessions of the Committee;

New applications for consultative status and new requests for reclassification;

Applications of non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council that have merged with non-governmental organizations without such consultative status.

Quadrennial reports submitted by non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council:

Deferred quadrennial reports submitted by non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Council;

Review of quadrennial reports submitted by non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Council.

Strengthening of the Non-Governmental Organizations Branch of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the Secretariat.
