At its 6th plenary meeting, on 29 April 2008, the Economic and Social Council decided, with regard to the event to discuss relief to development, that:
(a) The theme of the event would be “Coordination in the transition phase between emergency relief and sustainable recovery”;

(b) The event would be an informal activity held on the morning of 15 July 2008;
(c) The event would consist of one panel discussion and there would be no negotiated outcome.
