At its 38th plenary meeting, on 25 July 2005, the Economic and Social Council took note of Commission on Human Rights resolution 2005/27 of 19 April 2005,53 and approved the Commission’s request that the intersessional open-ended working group to elaborate a draft legally binding normative instrument for the protection of all persons from enforced disappearance meet for a period of ten days in one formal session before the end of 2005, with a view to the completion of its work, and report to the Commission at its sixty-second session.
