At its 93rd plenary meeting, on 24 December 2011, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Fifth Committee,128 authorized the continued utilization in 2012 of the unspent balance of the funding for associated costs approved in 2011 to allow the Secretary-General to continue the activities and projects planned for 2012, and decided to consider, at the first part of its resumed sixty-sixth session, the report of the Secretary-General on proposals for financing associated costs required for 2012 from within the approved budget for the capital master plan.129
