At its 17th plenary meeting, on 5 April 2023, the Economic and Social Council, in accordance with General Assembly resolution 48/162 of 20 December 1993, elected, by acclamation, AUSTRIA, the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, EL

OF TANZANIA and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA as members of the Executive Board of the United Nations Children’s Fund for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2024.

The Council also elected, by secret ballot, ESTONIA as a member of the Executive Board of the United Nations Children’s Fund for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2024.

The newly elected members will fill vacancies occurring on the expiration of the terms of office of ARGENTINA,

The Council elected, by acclamation, CANADA, ICELAND and IRELAND for the remainder of the terms of office of AUSTRALIA, GREECE and LUXEMBOURG, respectively, beginning on 1 January 2024 and expiring on 31 December 2024, and FINLAND and the UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND for the remainder of the
