At its 44th plenary meeting, on 30 July 2009, the Economic and Social Council took note of the following documents:

(a) Report of the Executive Board of the International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women on the work of its sixth session;56

(b) Note by the Secretary-General transmitting the report on the future operation of the International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women;57
