Tenth United Nations Conference on the Standardization of Geographical Names and 25th Session of the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names
At its 41st plenary meeting, on 23 July 2008, the Economic and Social Council:
(a) Took note of the report of the Ninth United Nations Conference on the Standardization of Geographical Names, held in New York from 21 to 30 August 2007;53
(b) Endorsed the recommendation that the Tenth United Nations Conference on the Standardization of Geographical Names be convened in 2012;54
(c) Also endorsed the recommendation that the twenty-fifth session of the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names be convened in the first half of 2009.54
