At its 38th plenary meeting, on 22 July 2008, the Economic and Social Council, having considered the report of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations on its 2008 regular session23 and draft decision II contained therein, decided to grant special consultative status to the non-governmental organization Federación Estatal de Lesbianas, Gays, Transexuales y Bisexuales.
