At its 42nd plenary meeting, on 24 July 2007, the Economic and Social Council took note of the report of the Commission on the Status of Women on its fifty-first session31 and approved the provisional agenda and documentation for the fifty-second session of the Commission as set out below:

Election of officers.

Adoption of the agenda and other organizational matters.

Follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women and to the special session of the General Assembly entitled “Women 2000: gender equality, development and peace for the twenty-first century”:
