At its 6th plenary meeting, on 2 March 2007, the Economic and Social Council, having considered the proposed provisional agenda and documentation for the tenth session of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development, as contained in the report of the Commission on its ninth session,2 and recalling its resolution 2006/46 of 28 July 2006, approved the provisional agenda and documentation for the tenth session of the Commission as set out below:

Adoption of the agenda and other organizational matters.

Substantive theme: “Promoting the building of a people-centred, development-oriented and inclusive information society, with a view to enhancing digital opportunities for all people”.

Progress made in the implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society at the regional and international levels.
