At its 40th plenary meeting, on 27 July 2005, the Economic and Social Council, recalling General Assembly resolution 57/270 B of 23 June 2003, its agreed conclusions 2002/189 and its resolution 2004/63 of 23 July 2004, and taking note of the consolidated report of the Secretary- General on the work of the functional commissions of the Council in 2005,90requested the Secretary-General to submit to the Council a consolidated report on the work of the functional commissions in 2006.
