At its 51st plenary meeting, on 23 July 2004, the

Economic and Social Council decided to defer consideration of

the draft resolution entitled “Promoting the application of

science and technology to meet the development goals

contained in the United Nations Millennium Declaration”,

contained in the report of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development on its seventh session87 until a

resumed session.
