At its 49th plenary meeting, on 22 July 2004, the

Economic and Social Council, recalling its decision 2000/283

of 28 July 2000 authorizing a comprehensive study of the rights

of non-citizens, and Commission on Human Rights decision 2000/104 of 25 April 2000,58 decided that the updated and

consolidated report on the rights of non-citizens should be

published in all the official languages of the United Nations and

given the widest possible distribution, in particular to

Governments, specialized agencies, relevant bodies and

agencies of the United Nations system, including the

International Labour Organization, the Office of the United

Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, treaty bodies and the

Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants, regional

intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental

organizations.
