At its 5th plenary meeting, on 13 February 2004, the Economic and Social Council, taking note of decision 11/2

adopted by the Commission on Sustainable Development at its eleventh session, 11 and recalling its resolution 2003/61 of 25 July 2003, entitled “Future programme, organization and methods of work of the Commission on Sustainable Development”, which, inter alia, resulted in the adoption by the

(a) Noted that the current term of the Bureau of the Commission on Sustainable Development is one year;

(b) Decided to give further consideration to the term of the Bureau of the Commission for future sessions after the completion of the first two-year implementation cycle,10 in 2005, during its substantive session.
