At its 46th plenary meeting, on 23 July 2003, the Economic and Social Council took note of Commission on Human Rights decision 2003/105 of 2 April 2003, 54 and endorsed the recommendation of the Commission that the report of the independent expert on the situation of human rights in Liberia be made public so as to encourage assistance to the Government and the people of Liberia in restoring full respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
