Welcomes the conclusion of the work of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing, and takes note with appreciation of its report;²

Notes the holding of a meeting of the General Assembly, on 8 December 2014, to take action on the report of the Committee, which provided an opportunity for Member States to express views and make statements on the contents of the report and the options contained therein,³ without prejudice to further discussions on the report in the forthcoming processes;

Reaffirms that the report of the Committee, the outcome of the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals, as mandated in the outcome document of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, entitled “The future we want,”⁴ and the synthesis report of the Secretary-General, as mandated by its resolution 68/6 of 9 October 2013, will serve as important inputs for the preparations for the third International Conference on Financing for Development, the outcome of which should constitute an important contribution to and support the implementation of the post-2015 development agenda.
