Notes with appreciation the facilities provided by the Government of Italy to the United Nations Logistics Base at Brindisi, Italy, and by the Government of Spain to the secondary active telecommunications facility at Valencia, Spain;

Endorses the conclusions and recommendations contained in the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions,Error: Reference source not found subject to the provisions of the present resolution, and requests the Secretary-General to ensure their full implementation;

Underlines the fact that the Global Service Centre support to clients should be carried out within the terms of the relevant General Assembly mandates;

Requests the Secretary-General to provide information in his next performance report on the interaction of the Global Service Centre with other United Nations entities;

Also requests the Secretary-General to ensure the full implementation of the relevant provisions of its resolutions 59/296 of 22 June 2005, 60/266 of 30 June 2006, 61/276 of 29 June 2007, 64/269 of 24 June 2010, 65/289 of 30 June 2011 and 66/264 of 21 June 2012, as well as other relevant resolutions;

Budget performance report for the period from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011

Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on the budget performance of the United Nations Logistics Base for the period from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011;⁴

Budget estimates for the period from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013

Approves the cost estimates for the United Nations Logistics Base amounting to 68,627,000 United States dollars for the period from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013;

Financing of the budget estimates

Decides that the requirements for the United Nations Logistics Base for the period from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013 shall be financed as follows:

The unencumbered balance and other income in the total amount of 2,950,100 dollars in respect of the financial period ended 30 June 2011 and 50,000,000 dollars from the strategic deployment stocks, to be applied against the resources required for the period from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013;

The balance of 15,676,900 dollars to be prorated among the budgets of the active peacekeeping operations for the period from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013;

The estimated staff assessment income of 6,093,700 dollars, comprising the amount of 5,855,900 dollars for the period from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013 and the increase of 237,800 dollars in respect of the period from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011, to be set off against the balance referred to in subparagraph (b) above, to be prorated among the budgets of the individual active peacekeeping operations;

Also decides to consider at its sixty-seventh session the question of the financing of the United Nations Logistics Base at Brindisi, Italy.
