Takes note of the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions;2

Requests the Secretary-General to ensure the provision of conference and support services to the Counter-Terrorism Committee, without adversely affecting other conference services;

Invites the Security Council to ensure that the proceedings of the Counter-Terrorism Committee and other subsidiary bodies of the Council that require conference servicing are conducted with due regard to the most efficient use of conference-servicing resources;

Also invites the Security Council to consider the merits of establishing appropriate guidelines for, inter alia, the format and, to the extent feasible and acceptable, the volume of communications that all States are requested to submit for consideration by the Counter-Terrorism Committee;

Requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at the main part of its fifty-seventh session on the expenditures as well as programmatic impacts incurred in supporting the Counter-Terrorism Committee as a result of the present resolution;

Decides to consider further requirements necessary for conference and support servicing of the Counter-Terrorism Committee in the context of the first performance report at its fifty-seventh session.
