Report of the Joint Inspection Unit on Policies and Practices in the Use of the Services of Private Management Consulting Firms in the Organizations of the United Nations System
Endorses the elements contained in paragraphs (b) and (d) of recommendation 1, and recommendations 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the Joint Inspection Unit;1

Invitesthe Secretary-General and participating organizations of the United Nations system, when addressing the issues raised in paragraphs (a) and (c) of recommendation 1, and in recommendations 6, 7 and 8 of the Unit and using the services of private management consulting firms, to take fully into account the relevant provisions of General Assembly resolutions 55/232 and 55/247.
