Expresses its deep appreciation to the Government of Sri Lanka for acting as host to the Seminar on National, Local and Regional Arrangements for the Promotion of Human Rights in the Asian Region, as well as for the excellent facilities provided;

Takes note of the report of the Seminar, as well as of the conclusions and recommendations which it adopted by consensus;97 3.

Requests the Secretary-General to transmit the report of the Seminar to States members of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, to invite their comments thereon and to submit the report of the Seminar, together with the comments received thereon, to the Commission on Human Rights at its fortieth session for its consideration, and to report through the Economic and Social Council to the General Assembly at its thirty-ninth session;

Decides to consider this question further at its thirtyninth session.
