Takes note of the report of the Special Committee on Peace-keeping Operations, in particular paragraphs 6 and 7 thereof;

Requests the Special Committee and its Working Group to renew efforts towards the completion of agreed guidelines for carrying out peace-keeping operations in conformity with the Charter of the United Nations for submission to the General Assembly at its thirty-first session;

Appeals ,to the members of the Special Committee to show greater accommodation in the search for an agreement at an early date on the completion of these guidelines in conformity with the Charter;

Requests the Special Committee to devote its attention also to the consideration of specific questions related to the practical implementation of peace-keeping operations;

Requests the Special Committee to report to the General Assembly at its thirty-first session.
