Recommends that, in future appointments to the staff of the United Nations Secretariat, at ail levels, appropriate preference be given to nationalities which form a disproportionately small part of the Secretariat, subject to the provisions of Article 101, paragraph 3, of the Charter of the United Nations;

Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Staff Committee with the United Nations Secretariat in all its practical, legal and other aspects, and to which have occurred in the geographical distribution submit to the Fifth Committee at the twelfth session on the staff of the Secretariat during the year ending of the General Assembly a report on those aspects 31 August 1957;

and on the steps which would be necessary to effect the integration.
