At its 48th plenary meeting, on 7 December 2018, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee),58 taking note of the applications of Cyprus, Ethiopia, Finland, Mauritius and Paraguay for membership in the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space,59 decided to appoint those States Members of the United Nations as members of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
