At its 48th plenary meeting, on 3 December 2012, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the First Committee,47 recalling its resolutions 64/54 of 2 December 2009 and 66/39 of 2 December 2011, by a recorded vote of 162 to none, with 24 abstentions,48 decided to request the Secretary-General to convene in 2013 the group of governmental experts mentioned in paragraph 5 (b) of resolution 66/39, without change to the other modalities for the group as set out in that paragraph.
