At its 71st plenary meeting, on 2 December 2011, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the First Committee,57 recalling its resolution 64/48 of 2 December 2009, by a recorded vote of 166 to none, with 13 abstentions,58 decided to hold, within existing resources, the final session of the Preparatory Committee for the United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty from 13 to 17 February 2012 in NewYork to conclude the substantive work of the Preparatory Committee and decide on all relevant procedural matters, pursuant to paragraph 8 of the above-mentioned resolution.
