At its 105th plenary meeting, on 14 September 2009, the General Assembly, on the proposal of the United Republic of Tanzania,44 decided to include in the draft agenda of its sixtyfourth session the item entitled “The scope and application of the principle of universal jurisdiction” and recommended that it be considered by the Sixth Committee at that session.
