At its 53rd plenary meeting, on 18 November 2008, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Second Committee,56 noting the provisions contained in the note by the Secretary-General on the proposed organization of work of the Follow-up International Conference on Financing for Development to Review the Implementation of the Monterrey Consensus,57 decided to recommend for adoption by the Follow-up International Conference the provisional rules of procedure for the Conference, as contained in the annex to the present decision.
