At its 83rd plenary meeting, on 30 May 2006, the General Assembly, on the proposal of its President,34 recalling its resolution 60/224 of 23 December 2005, and, as part of the high-level meeting and comprehensive review of the progress achieved in realizing the targets set out in the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS, to be convened from 31 May to 2 June 2006, decided:
