At its 74th plenary meeting, on 20 December 2004, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Third Committee, 68 took note of Economic and Social Council resolution 2004/15 of 21 July 2004, decided to postpone consideration of the issue until its sixty-first session at the latest, and requested the Special Rapporteur on disability of the Commission for Social Development to take into account the general ideas contained in the proposed supplement to the Standard Rules on the Equalization of Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities69 in the accomplishment of her mandate.
