At its 59th plenary meeting, on 10 November 2003, the General Assembly, pursuant to its decision 43/406 of 24 October 1988, elected the BAHAMAS, BANGLADESH, BRAZIL, BULGARIA,

REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA as members of the Governing Council of the United Nations Environment Programme for a four-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2004 to fill the vacancies occurring on the expiration of the terms of office of the BAHAMAS, BENIN, BRAZIL,
