At its 78th plenary meeting, on 20 December 2002, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Fifth Committee,130 having considered the report of the Secretary- General on the revised estimates resulting from resolutions and decisions adopted by the Economic and Social Council at its substantive session of 2002180 and the related report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions,181 endorsed the recommendation of the Secretary- General:

(a) To approve the provision of 44,700 United States dollars in additional appropriations under section 22, Human rights, of the programme budget for the biennium 2002–2003171 as a charge against the contingency fund for financing activities in respect of Council decision 2002/285 of 25 July 2002;

(b) To invite the Council to review its decision 2002/281 of 25 July 2002 with a view to ensuring that additional meetings of the Commission on Human Rights are not required in connection with its fifty-ninth session;

(c) To request the Secretary-General to provide such conference services as might be required consequent to Council decision 2002/257 of 25 July 2002 and decision 2002/281, as reviewed, and to report to the General Assembly at its fifty-
