At its 78th plenary meeting, on 20 December 2002, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Second Committee,62 and in accordance with paragraph 5 of its resolution 39/217 of 18 December 1984, approved the biennial programme of work of the Second Committee for 2003–2004, as contained in the annex to the present decision.
