At its 67th plenary meeting, on 4 December 2002, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Fifth Committee,9 appointed Mr. Andrei Vitalievitch Kovalenko as a member of the United Nations Staff Pension Committee to fill the remainder of a four-year term of office,10 beginning on 1 January 2003 and ending on 31 December 2004.
