At its 67th plenary meeting, on 4 December 2002, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Fifth Committee,7 appointed the following persons as members of the International Civil Service Commission for a four-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2003: Mr. Mohsen Bel Hadj Amor, Mr. Daasebre Oti Boateng, Mr. José R. Sanchís Muñoz, Ms. Anita Szlazak and Mr. Eugeniusz Wyzner.

At the same meeting, the General Assembly, also on the recommendation of the Fifth Committee,8 designated Mr. Mohsen Bel Hadj Amor as Chairman of the International Civil Service Commission and Mr. Eugeniusz Wyzner as Vice-Chairman, each for a four-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2003.

As a result, the International Civil Service Commission is composed as follows: Mr. Mohsen BEL HADJ AMOR (Tunisia),*** Chairman; Mr. Eugeniusz WYZNER (Poland),*** Vice-Chairman; Mr. Mario BETTATI (France),** Mr. Daasebre Oti BOATENG (Ghana),*** Mr. Minoru ENDO (Japan),** Mr. Alexei L.
